Project Description

The owners of this home lived for many years in a cramped kitchen with no windows located in the center of the house. They loved their neighborhood and had no desire to leave, so decided to move the kitchen to a little-used living room that was surrounded by windows and light. The old kitchen became the media room and office, and the new space gave them the room they needed for preparing large meals and entertaining. Seating for many guests and hard-working appliances were important, with finishes that would give the room a wow factor.

The new kitchen is an open plan kitchen that is visible from the rest of the home. Bar cabinets were designed at a 42″ height, with the counter break at the refrigerator, so that the kitchen has some privacy from the dining area and media room.
